Portuondo Campsite is situated in Mundaka, in the Urdaibai district, a paradise declared Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 1984. The Mundaka Estuary is known for being one of the most important wetlands on the Cantabrian Coast, with the greatest landscape and ecological diversity in the Basque Country.

Situated in a natural environment with a great variety of autochthonous trees. Arrien Campsite is just 600m from the beach of Gorliz in the Uribe Kosta district with a special microclimate in Biscay. In particular, the walks around the castle ruins to the lighthouse with backdrop of the Villano Island and the wide horizon of the sea.
